I am currently researching the clinical waste market in the UK. As part of my research, I have the below questions:

Suppliers who applied for inclusion on each Framework / Contract and were successful & not successful at the PQQ & ITT Stages.

 
Answer To Question 1:
The Trust does not have information on PQQ & ITT stages for the Contract Framework - SOFT CLINICAL WASTE SERVICES (CN:) ICS /11091/CORP/SG/222.
 
Question Number 2:
Actual Spend on this Contract / Framework (and any sub lots), from the start of the Contract to the Current Date.

 
Answer To Question 2:
The Trusts contract has expired, accordingly, our spend is not linked to this contract/framework.
The Trusts spend in the 12 months to February 2026 was £596,000.

Start Date & Duration of Framework / Contract?
 
Answer To Question 3:
The Trust is currently out of contract and is preparing a Tender. 
Last Contract was raised July 2023 and has since been extended by 12m with 9m break clause.

Could you please provide a copy of the service / product specification given to all bidders for when this contract was last advertised?

The Trust has approx 90% reusable sharps containers in use on site with the rest being disposable

Current waste split between Alternative treatment, Incineration and offensive waste?
 
Answer To Question 15:
Clinical Waste split at end Feb 2026:

HL (Tiger Offensive) 64.27%
HT (Orange Sack Incineration) 35.73%
HI (Yellow Sack Incineration) negligible.
